On the Vietnam Ethnic Minority’s Culture Day - April 19, 2017 - “The Pioneers for the voice of Ethnic Minorities” group, together with the Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment (iSEE), organised a cozy meeting with the artists, makers and creators of Hanoi, launching an artists residency program “Cụng, Đụng, Chạm”. 7 artists, creators, individuals who are interested in the cultural diversity of the people of Vietnam were invited into the homes of people of different ethnicities. For a month in Dak- Nong, we lived together, breathed the very same air, exchanged stories and viewpoints. This entire experience were then accumulated into a group exhibition and performance at the Hanoi Old Quarter Culture Exchange Center - 50 Dao Duy Tu Street, Hanoi. A group of Thai children were invited to Hanoi to perform puppetry on the opening night.
